Join Us for the Jon Tumilson Go Crush It 5K Challenge in Rockford, IA

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, the Fossil & Prairie Park Preserve in Rockford, Iowa, will come alive with purpose and passion as participants gather for the Jon Tumilson Go Crush It 5K Challenge.

This annual event pays tribute to Navy SEAL Jon "JT" Tumilson, who, along with 29 fellow Americans and one military working dog, made the ultimate sacrifice on August 6, 2011, during a mission in Afghanistan. Jon's enduring spirit and love for running inspire this event, encouraging participants to "Crush Their Excuses to Conquer Their Goals."

• Date: Saturday, July 26, 2025

• Location: Fossil & Prairie Park Preserve, 1227 215th St, Rockford, IA 50468

• Schedule:

  • 6:30–7:45 AM: Race Registration and Packet Pick-Up

  • 8:00 AM: Opening Ceremony

  • 8:30 AM: 5K Challenge Start

  • 9:30 AM: Frogman Fun Run (Ages 12 and under)

  • 10:00 AM: Awards Ceremony

Registration Options:

• 5K Challenge: $30 (price increases after May 31)

• Virtual 5K Challenge: $30 (for those unable to attend in person)

All proceeds from the race will benefit Retrieving Freedom, Inc. (RFI), a non-profit organization dedicated to training Service Dogs for Veterans with disabilities and children with autism, provided at no cost to the clients.
