How To Help

Dog_Flag_SaluteOur goal at Retrieving Freedom will be to place and match completely trained dogs with a level of commitment to the recipients that is second to none but we need your help!

RFI can only operate through our own fund raising efforts, grant finding and the generous donations of individuals as well as with the support of local business and corporate sponsors.

The cost of production of these dogs would prevent most people in need from even considering a service dog as a viable option to improve their quality of life if not for organizations like RFI.

How Can I Help?

We need charitable contributions in the form of monetary donations, supplies, materials, veterinary care or time.  Here are some of the ways people have helped RFI in the past:

  • Helping with a local fund raising event or even hosting one. We would be happy to help and provide assistance!
  • Providing foster care for a puppy that will be placed into the program at 6 months of age.
  • Donor families are a must for organizations of this type to be successful!  Puppies at 7 to 8 weeks of age are placed into carefully selected donor homes to provide socialization and early in home basic training.  This allows more dogs to be have a head start in the program and ultimately allow more dogs to be trained and prepared for placement.
  • We also have different levels of monetary sponsorships.

What Else Can I Do?

If you don’t see anything in the small list above that you can do to help RFI, please contact us and tell what you have in mind.  We are always very happy and grateful for any assistance donors can provide to help RFI help those in need.

We look forward to partnering with you in this life changing organization!
