At Retrieving Freedom, Inc., we understand the importance of superior nutrition in the developmental stages of our Service Dogs' training. This Giving Tuesday, we present to our community a call to action —the opportunity to contribute to our dog food drive, a campaign imperative to the cultivation of our Service Dogs. By gifting donations of Purina Pro Plan dog food, a standard-bearer for nutritional excellence, you will be providing our canine trainees with the robust dietary foundation they need to evolve into life-changing heroes in the lives of Veterans with disabilities and children with autism.

The Economic Impact of Nutritional Support

It is a little-known fact that our combined facilities' (Sedalia, MO & Waverly, IA) daily consumption of dog food amounts to a remarkable 136 cups! This volume of quality food is a considerable financial undertaking. However, through community-led initiatives like our dog food drive, we can significantly offset these costs. The funds conserved from these donations directly correlate to the enhancement of our services. Every dollar saved on dog food is a dollar that can be reallocated to advancing our mission: to provide these highly trained Service Dogs to our clients at no cost.

Reducing the expenses associated with our Service Dogs' nutrition allows us to strategically redirect financial resources. These reallocated funds can support the expansion of our in-house breeding program and apprentice training program—both crucial steps toward self-sufficiency and enhancing the quality of Service Dogs we offer.

Family Center Farm & Home: 1400 S Limit, Monday to Saturday, 8 AM - 8 PM, Sunday 10 AM - 5 PM
Liberty Center: 111 West 5th St, Tuesday to Friday, 1 PM - 5 PM
Central Bank: 301 W Broadway Blvd, Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM - 4 PM, and Friday until 6 PM
